Police arraign 3 Catholic catechists for alleged possession of firearms
Three catechists of the Roman Catholic Church were on Thursday arraigned at an Ogidi High Court, Anambra State, presided over by Justice Arinze Akabuo, for alleged unlawful possession of firearms.
A suspected accomplice, Solomon Igboji (the fourth accused), was reported to be on the run.
The three arraigned were Daniel Nwoye, Agbo Peter and Patrick Ajuluchukwu.
Other charges preferred against them in Suit No. HID/41C/2016 included forceful entry and unlawful damages.
The prosecution said their offences were contrary to Section 115 of the Criminal Code.
It was gathered that their case had to do with an attack involving an 80-year-old widow, Mrs.
